As a watch lover, I was quite fortunate to meet with KULTUhR. I own several watches, but I was not completely satisfied with my portfolio. And here in Japan, as most of major brands are available, that means it is rather difficult to find completely unique one. So I was looking for a real distinctive one to symbolize my characters such as independence, entrepreneurial spirit, determined mind, desire for freedom, pursuit of originality and willingness for challenge. In this context, KULTUhR is the perfect match with my criteria.
I would like to mention 4 features to describe how I appreciate this watch.
1. Stylish
Tonneau case shape, glass surface, hands, and of course Tourbillon, they are all highly elaborated to details. It is rather funny that while I am watching the movement of Tourbillon, I often lose the sense of time flow. This watch is really stylish and outstanding. Even though this doesn’t carry famous brand logo, it is not a problem for me as long as the well-balanced design is appealing.
2. Attractive
After purchasing this watch, I pick up it amongst my collection and wear it almost every day. Both in business settings and private situation, KULTUhR frequently attracts my business partners’/colleagues’/friends’ attention and draws some questions such as “What is this brand?” or “Where did you get it?” Especially fashion-sensitive people are aware of this watch. So it’ my secret pleasure to see luxurious watch owners are surprised with my belonging which nobody knows.
3. Reasonable and valuable
I am willing to pay US$5,000 to $7,000, but no more than that. As an entrepreneur, I have lots of concerns as well as own standard of value for investing my money. In that sense, more than $100K Tourbillon is unreasonable even though I appreciate beautiful watches. So the quality of KULTUhR watch is value for price and quite reasonable for me.
4. Wearable
Considering the price, I am quite comfortable for wearing this one in a daily setting. If this were extremely expensive, I would feel uneasy because of safety reason and may keep it in the home show case or even in the safe. In reality, I want to enjoy watches in the regular situation by watching it by myself and showing somebody in a relaxing atmosphere. Moreover, daily usage nurtures my affection as I look at this wonderful design so frequently.
Another point is manufacturer’s timely service. In case of mechanical trouble, the company guarantees they will fix it and return to me within 15 days after they receive a watch. According to my experiences at major brands, when I send mine to the repair or overhaul, it regularly takes more than month or even a couple to several. At KULTUhR, estimated maintenance time is fairly short, though I haven’t had a situation to use it. I think it is accountable considering the fact my order was delivered to Japan in 1.5 days. (My ordered was Sunday midnight and the delivery was Tuesday evening.)
I’m so happy to be an owner of this unique watch. This is perfectly suitable for middle career forward looking business person like myself. Moreover, it’s my great pleasure to share the founders’ philosophy. It would be another fun to keep watching the growth of this newly created brand. I hope more people will join this “KULTUhR” experience.
